Okay so I just got the results from my last submission. In order to get the millennium set label you must submit the coins still sealed in the us mint packaging. So I submitted 2 sets along with some other coins and NGC left me totally speechless. How in the world can a coin get/be improperly cleaned if it has never been removed from the mint packaging till NGC did it when they received my order? Any Ideas!!
I would file some sort of complaint with the reason being that if someone cleaned it improperly then it was them!
Yea you should call them. I bet the first people took it out and the graders did not know it was in it's OMP. If you explain I think they will fix it for you.
Maybe they do not like the Mint's rinse process. :rolling: Just kidding. That's insane. I would call NGC and ask for an explanation. TC
I'd say a phone call is in order. it may have been a mistake, since the coin was submitted in the mint pkg.
It was dropped into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the receiving room, they kindly wiped it off for you so the graders wouldn't see the Jiff & Welch's stuck on the reverse.
seeing your story has begun to make me wonder how many "improperly cleaned" labeled coins are actually improperly cleaned. clearly, the tpgs are not 100% accurate with this designation.
