On a good note, I'm starting to like my pictures looks like I'm getting better at it. If possible can you help establish some grades on the coins thus far. I'll check back tonight I have to go to work.
Zach - photos are looking good. Why not take them out of their flips if you can, and shoot them with a contrasting background, like black!
I think I said that the '21 was scrubbed. I don't think so any more. Cleaned maybe, but definitely not scrubbed....:smile
Congrats! You scored yourself some nice coins...you gambled and came out ahead. For me, anytime I gamble on purchasing items with poor pics from ebay, in hopes of getting the item for a good price, I end up losing in the end -LTB
That 1903 IHC came out looking A LOT better than I had thought, based on the auction photo! That said, just reinforces the importance of having good photographs when deciding to proceed with bidding.
Photos look pretty good. The 1921 could be an AU if you look at the eagle's upper right wing and compare that to the 1934, but that could also be strike. Even in AU, the 1921 is a $200 coin, so I think you did fine. Maybe send them in to ANACS and see what they say. Or take it to a show and ask a few dealers..... but you'll get a variety of opinions there.
I've never submitted coins before. I know NGC offers the 5 free if you sign up for the year but I'm not sure how that works. Also appears I can send 5+ coins in to ANACS for $14 each.
