I'm pretty straight up with the tellers, they don't mind me too much... usually very friendly.

Two boxes of halves today, first box yielded jack except for 2 70's that look like proofs, but have no mint mark, peculiar... along with a 2003 and a 2009. Oh, and one Kennedy ('71) with a long die crack going from the I in Liberty, down through the date, and back up to the Y. Second box gave me 1 '52 Franklin, and 7 40%'s, along with a 2006 and a 2004, and a no FG... good box for me, haha.

Who the eff turns in silver dollars at a bank?

My girlfriend said she was at a bank to pick up halves and the lady in front of her had a bunch of "old dimes" according to the teller and didn't know what they were. By time my GF found out what the lady had, she was gone. They were either Mercury dimes or Barber dimes... fml.

Today my girlfriend an I picked up two boxes of half dollars. The first one had nothing in it at all, but the second one had 44 40% silver halves and a 2005 D half. This is the first time we have ever found silver out of a actual box of halves. I am going to call the bank tomorrow and order either 3 or 4 more boxes I am not sure on how many I should order yet though.

Oh yes, I remember that. Getting up early, driving to a construction site in the rain. Beer for breakfast, LOL. Some guys don't do well after leaving the workplace, but I was lazy enough to flourish.

Did a $25 box of cents last night. Found 17 common wheaties, 5 King George canadian cents and a 1988 -s proof with large fingerprints on both sides.

    Fun!

I searched 2 boxes of halves and I found 20 %40'ers and found 3 1964 halves which were all in the same roll :)

My most recent $25 Pennies box had a 1983-S proof with a cameo like obverse , but was being eaten alive by a bunch of greenish fuzzy stuff on the reverse. Sad

You can probably get most of the gunk off of the coin with a vinegar/salt solution (1/4 cup vinegar and 1 teaspoon salt dissolved in it). Couldn't hurt the coin in that condition anyway.

I'm starting to lose faith in TD... local small banks, here I come...

That's $500 with jack worth keeping... no 2002+, no "No FG", No S mintmarks, nothing.

    Box of halves: Nothing
$150 in halves from a different bank: Nothing
$6.50 in loose halves: One 40%er.

I did score 2 boxes of 2010 cents (will go to ebay), a roll of N Mariana Islands Quarters, and a roll of Texas State Quarters.

No they were not brinks boxes. Do you tend to have good luck with the brinks boxes of half dollars?
