here is an auction item i won the other day. it is a set of toned war nickels. i haven't received them yet but from the pictures some seem to have some nice toning. i think i am going to keep them in the holder to hopefully enhance the toning as time goes on :thumb: the seller had another set but i didnt end up winning that one. :crying:
ooh, my favorite, toned war nickels. Are you going to post up individual photos when you them, please!!!!!
I've picked up 2 like that. Some o mine have a bit of toning too but I dont think it's from those holders. I too keep mine in the holders they came in
Is what he has them in not Capitol Plastics? And what is the difference, no PVC in any of these hard ones is there? Thanks
It doesn't look like it. All the Capital Plastics holders I've seen are three-part........front cover, back cover and insert to hold coins. This doesn't appear to have any protective covers at all unless he took it off to photo the coins. Chris
actually the other set i that i didnt win was in a capital plastic holder. i am sure i will get one once i have the nickels in hand. i doubt it. i will be starting school full time in july. thanks i cant wait to have the beauties in my hands and get some really good pictures
I love toned war nckels there is something about the small amount of silver that tones the metal in a amzing wat(my theory)
