What is the average grade for a circulated coin?

For example, on average, if i pull out my pocket change, what will it grade?

That's a tough one. Much will depend on age, and amount of wear, as well as rarety. You could be lucky enough to have one grade AU, maybe even luckier, MS.

i would guess most coins pulled from a roll of circulated coins (not a roll fresh from the mint) ... would have a grade range of VF to AU ... so maybe EF would be the average grade

Most coins I get in change are either VF or EF
