I would wait to buy these for other more experienced members to chime in. The BU morgans sound like a ripoff to me. $30 a coin? I wouldn't count on them being anywhere near MS 64/65 and I'm sure the dates will be all common ones. The cheaper lot may not be a bad deal considering the price of silver, but I wonder if they won't all be VG type Morgans.

    I'd pass on both lots.

The first lot is selling for 19.3% over spot, and you will probably have so many multiple common dates that only 20 or fewer would be any good for a starter set in the VG/F range. Then, you would be stuck with about 80 or more coins, and silver would have to rise to about $23.75 just for you to break even.

The second lot is practically worthless since they are all 1921's, and silver would have to rise to more than $31 just for you to break even.

If you are interested in starting a set of Morgans, I'd recommend that you watch for individual certified coins in the XF/AU range if you can't afford MS coins. However, you should be aware that most of the key dates are pretty pricey even in lower grades. Do not buy raw Morgans on eBay! You run too much risk of getting stuck with problem coins.

Welcome to the forum. You would probably do better looking through bargain bins at your local dealer.

I don't think either is a good deal. In order to advise you further, we would need to know about your numismatic experience, whether you just want intrinsic value or are interested in numismatic value, the time period you would like to finish the collection, and your budgetary restrictions.

I would pass for all the reasons mentioned above and due to the Morgan Dollar being very common in most dates so you can get a variety of dates and you should be able to pick up plenty of circulated Morgans at silver spot if thats what your after. If your a collector looking to start a nice set stick with the safe graded and slabbed Morgans. Morgans are not coins that I like to buy via internet or TV.

If you're going to roll the dice, you might find a better table to play on. If you've decided that you are going to buy a "lot" of Morgans and cherry pick it, you should be able to find better lots for the same amount of money per coin in smaller lots. That way you'll be stuck with a whole lot less dreck. Just my humble opinion, your results may vary.
