Hello! I happend to find an old russian bronze medal, that i keept for many years. Diameter size is 9 cm. Thikness is 7-8 mm. Weight is about 250 gram. I think, pic 3 says: "Peninsula Krim and island Tamansky became Russian in 1783" And I think the person on the front is Catherine II of Russia: Does anyone have any more info on what it is or what it can be worth? Krim was conquered during the reign of Catherine the Great (1762-1796). This is the commemorative medal.
My apology. My eyes aren't that good anymore, and I thought you said 9mm rather than 9cm. That's why I thought something 9mm x 8mm might be spherical. My mistake! Chris

I am from Sweden. But my father got alot of friends in russia. So i think he got it over there somehow.
