Way too heavy Hontonai. I don't think anyones gonna be showin' up at my front door (gun in hand) lookin' for my meager Kenn's.....
I wish you luck on this arduous task. It may be a very tough one to estimate though. This is one of those coins that was saved by the many admirers of JFK (even non-coin collectors), who may still be holding one today. Also, this is a coin that was likely melted in droves back in the late 1970's, but is now also used as an investment vehicle as either junk silver or in bags, rolls, etc., which again are factors that may be hard to estimate. Back in 1991 a banker friend of mine asked about silver investing because the market had dropped. He had all sorts of crazy schemes about what type of silver to buy. I told him to buy up all the 40% silver halves he could at under $4/ounce and count them as his bank's cash reserves. He paid he premium. The worst that could happen is that he personally would lose 10c on each if silver when to worthless or he had a run on cash. Sold a basement full of those Kennedy's to him over about two and a half years. He retired in 2007.
.....and I have none of Tom's in my collection.:high5: You might want to include in your research that there were nearly 430 million Kennedy half dollars struck in 1964. Of the entire run of the Kennedy series, these are the favorites in my collection:
I don't have any...but I do have some pre-ban assault rifles, just in case someone shows up looking for the one's I don't have........7.62x39 is just my little way of saying...."so long, dirtbag".
Good thinking on the 7.62x39. My sks would tear holes through the potential robber and my house, perhaps neighbors house... I prefer my judge.
Close quarters .12ga 00 naught buck shot. Score Bad Guys: 0 Good Guys: 1 Oh yeah, I originally misunderstood the question, and now I'm totally confused...back to normal for me then.
Nah! The best thing for home protection is a 28' anaconda or python. Completely silent and there are no remains left to incriminate you. Chris
