Todd just gave me a Mother's Day present by sending me photos of my newest editions to my personal collection, so to help celebrate this special day, I thought I'd share some of my pretty little newps....

I bought this 1862 because of its spectacular toning which is even more colorful in hand (it's is hard to find such pretty toning on copper nickel Indian cents) - as well as the really bold misplaced digit in the denticles below and to the left of the "1"

In addition to it being a really pretty coin, I bought this Flyer because of the huge obverse die crack that starts from the bottom of STATES and goes all the way around the coin, through the tail feathers down to the date

his 1876 has really pretty magenta toning and a great strike

I just like the toning on the pretty 1891

Nice coins Charmy! I'm not familiar with the 1862 S-4, but looks like there is some RPD action was well, along the base of the 1, and on the right side of the 2.

Nice coins, but you are a novice and have a lot to learn about numismatics and the business. For starters, pennies are in the UK and the British Empire. In the U.S. we have cents.

Bad assumption--what is it about my statements that you find to be inaccurate?

Wow, let's just say that I'll let my name and reputation speak for itself. Check it out, maybe you'll learn what it is about your statements that are inaccurate.

They do indeed--you are relatively new in the business and seemingly don't know the difference between a cent and a penny. So you are a novice in the dealer circles and have a pseudonym that is inaccurate.

OK Thats far enough with this, Now I am British and even I have for many a long year heard cents refferd to as Penny's and that was Initialy from my father who was a coin collector long before I was born.
Calling them Penny's is a totaly exceptable term unless one is simply trying to be pedantic

OMG! LOL! You are just too funny! I can't even count the times the use of penny vs. cent has been discussed here and on other forums. And you choose to attack me, call me a novice, say I don't know what I'm doing, etc. just because I use the term "penny" instead of "cent" - guess you're having a pretty bad Mother's Day if that's all it takes to incite you.

I readily admit I have a lot to learn, I learn something new about coins almost every day, and I hope to keep learning as long as I'm alive. But seriously, I really don't think taking issue with the use of the term "penny" is worthy of the leap to assuming I'm a novice.

I've been a dealer for almost 15 years, and have always specialized in "pennies" so I think I'm a little beyond the "novice" stage. Also, fyi, my company used to be called "CoinCents" but all of my customers kept referring to me as "The Penny Lady" so it was the collecting community that sort of "bestowed" that title on me and I just went with it and changed my company name accordingly. I personally really like it. I have to say, however, that you are the very first person who seems to have a problem with that. You really should just let it go.

    Hey bigtime,

From what I have seen on this forum, Charmy's numismatic knowledge puts yours to shame. That leaves you with two choices: be nice or be quiet!

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Charmy, great PENNIES, and wonderful additions to what I'm sure must be an amazing collection. I particularly like the woodgrain on the flying eagle.

    And happy mother's day ;)
