He says now that he´s gone to the postoffice he has documents wich say that it was delivered to a wrong adress and that the name is a forgery. How has he come to this conclution. The adress is at his same adress. He is not willing to help at all and wants his money.

    You just hijacked the thread.

Dime freak and you are wrong saying a tracking number is sufficient. For items over $250 (this was a $600 item) you need signature confirmation, not just tracking.

You should be ashamed sticking up for someone giving out bad information to CT members. EDITED

    ^^

shouldn't this be up to the shipping company to investigate and refund him if he is telling the truth? i thought that was what insurance and sig conformation was for?

sorry i just can not see the post office saying, "yea we sent that insured and conformation package to the wrong address and someone forged your name. take it up with the seller".

did you contact any of the shipping company's?

Well in my last letter to him I told him that if this was the truth and some one signed for the coin that was not him I would have to call the USA Embassy and get them to help me file a crimnal case. Then 5 minutes later the mail man walks in with the coin and he closes the case. Says it was found at the other adress. I dont know really but I have a grin on my face here :) I know some of you will understand why :)

LOL. I love it when someone tries to rip you off, but then is forced to make something up when things start turning bad for them. Way to call him on his BS.

I'm glad things worked out in your favor. However, I would still pursue this with Ebay. This buyer seems to be a fraud and I would hate to see others taken advantage of by him. Sounds like Ebay still needs to step in.

I will send them a email, But as you know contacting ebay is hard. You cant really find a mail to send to. I will try to find out.

almost the same thing with my ubuntu sticker, they tried scamming me on. i looked at his recent feedback and noticed he hasn't sent anything out in about a month. after a number of non response emails, i told him i found over $500 of items he ripped off from people and that is a felony. i then told him i was contacting the internet scams division(probably not even the real name) of the FBI. 2 hours later he sends out an Email saying how he just refunded the money to everyone and is depressed and can no longer sell on ebay. judging by his facebook, he didn't seem to depressed to me.

i am glad it worked out for you. sad thing is, people out there do this all the time. they try many people and take advantage of the people who do not really put up a fight.

Sounds like he received the coin, tried to sell it for a profit and when he could not sell it he basically returned it to you. I assume if he had sold it none of this would have happened...

I agree that you should contact ebay about it, they really should close people's accounts who engage in this type of abuse.

There is a couple of things I have learned from this, I will have to check again with Icelandpost to see if their system is good enough for ebay and paypal policy. Secondly If you have a feeling that something isnt right you should take notice.

He didn't return it, he wanted to get his cake and eat it too. He had to make a story up about it arriving instantly from what I gathered in order to not have the OP press charges... an admirable bluff... or was it a bluff?
