Well it had to happen, I have a case I´m worried about on ebay. About a month ago I sold a gold coin on ebay. The receiver was quick to pay and no problems at all with comunications. About two weeks later I see on auction the same gold coin with MY pictuers on the buyers page. I contact him asking if he´s received the coin and if he was willing to leave me feedback and wished him well with the auction as he was adding 25% more then I sold him. He listed the coin twice and it didnt sell. Today I got a claim from him that the coin never arrived. I can not belive that someone would actually do this. I have escealted the case to customer service and i´m hoping they will render the case in my favour. I have the tracking and I can see it was delivered also confirmed by Icelandpost. Now it´s just to wait and see what happens next. I can not belive they will not take this into consideration and close the case. Best regards Siggi
Something is rotten in Denmark Can you save his auctions with him using your picture? If so would eBay reps look at it? Seems that is proof that he got it.
I took a screenshot of the auction at the time, Just in case. I dont know if they will even consider this Ebay. I have heard so many storys about this falling into the buyers side. I´m hoping my exsperiance with ebay will not change as I have followed every step they ask of me. Tracking insurance.
Registered with signature confermation. That is I can ask for the signature but it takes time. USPS says 4 weeks
If you've got sig. confirm, then that should settle in your favor. I hope so at least! Keep us updated. I'm interested in seeing how Ebay handles this one.
Wow, that sucks. I feel for you. It sounds like you have a pretty good argument here, especially if the receiver had to sign for the item. Hope it turns out in your favor.
that sucks. and i was livid over getting scammed for a $4 vinyl sticker, this week! if it was insured and had signature conformation that was signed for, you should be in the clear. not to mention the fact, that he had it up for sale! you got all the proof you should need, i never give ebay that must trust though. i never like to do bigger transactions on there. i wish i had some good ideas for you, but i avoid selling on ebay. good luck
tracking number is king…..I wouldnt be worried at all. If he wanted his money back he should have said it was damaged or not as described.
Thanks everyone, I did everyting by the book. I´m just worried that he has something planned as this has that feeling. Let´s hope for the best i'll let all ya know Thanks again Siggi
WRONG AGAIN...tracking number is NOT king. It is not acceptable for items over $250. You need signature confirmation. Please quit posting until you can provide correct information. Everything you have said is wrong, and misleading. You are damaging people who come here for correct info. You Saying that Craigslist is better than ebay has to be one of the most laughable comments ever made. You obviously don't have it. I'm dead serious, quit posting wrong information. Are you just trying to look smart? It ain't working. I wouldn't trust anything you say. You've been here 3 weeks, and have provided bad info. I am warning fellow CT members, do you trust anything he says?
contacted the mods, not sure why you have an infatuation with me but I am sure they will put it to an end! BTW I am sure the OP understood what I meant when I said DC is king. you have no worries.:thumb:
Now he states it was delivred to a wrong adress. Not his. Why would someone accept to pay customs for a 600 Dollar coin ?
If you sent it "Registered with signature confirmation", you should have no problems. Just to play it safe, CALL eBay. I have the number for here, but I do not know which number you should use, but I will bet you can find it. My experience with them was surprisingly amenable and you appear to have all the facts on your side.
yea, you seem to have done everything the right way. you can not help that they delivered to the wrong address(doubt that is true anyway). i wouldn't not worry about it, but i wouldn't stress over it either. i know how you feel about,"them having a plan". more then likely they don't or its not a good one. you have done everything correct, you take out insurance and signature conformation, because of things like this happening. this way none of the blame will be on you.. lets us know any updates.. i will just say there was no reason to call dimefreak out, but i will not hijack this thread. you should be ashamed of yourself.
Have you registered online with UPS? You can register an account (it's free) for "UPS Signature Tracking " and see the image of the signature and delivery address. UPS Signature Tracking is a secure, Web-based service that provides enhanced tracking and delivery information. These features can help streamline your billing and customer service functions. https://www.ups.com/myups/info/sigtracking?loc=en_US Below is the info from the US version, When authorized for UPS Signature Tracking, you can obtain Proof of Delivery information with: Signature Image Full name and delivery address To ensure that this information is not provided to unauthorized parties, UPS requires that customers be registered with My UPS and authenticate for Signature Tracking by providing UPS Account information. Not sure if you had already done this or if you have to be a business, but it may help you, good luck.
Take this further try and get them to close his eBay and PayPal account for this. I can't stand people like this they need to be fined.
How would he know what happened to a coin that he never received? That's the pitts but I don't think you have anything to worry about. You've done everything you were supposed to do and you have confirmation that the item was received. Can you post pics here of your coin and the one he is now selling? It may be a different coin entirely and by you asking him about it and him knowing that the coin was different, he saw an opportunity to say he never rec'd and jumped on it. just a thought.
