Chris, aka cpm9ball is rather new to these boards, but many people have gotten to know him in a short time. I just got an urgent notice from Shane, aka kryptonitecomics on the NGC boards:

I have to agree with Shoewrecky regarding this posting.

 

Shane gave me the go ahead to post it here - I would never post something like this without asking first.

 

I hope surgery does the trick for him and everything works out ok!

 

I know what it is like to have to have immediate surgery for a life threatning thing going on. I hope everything goes well with him and he can make a full recovery very soon. I will definately keep him in my thoughts over the next few days. Please keep us informed of how everything goes and when he does come out of surgery ok.

 

Thanks Physics. Keep us updated. I wish Chris all my best. He's become a great contributor here in a short period of time.

I have a friend who has 3 of the 4 carotid arteries essentially blocked and the 4th is about 40% blocked.
Doctors won't operate because if a little piece gets loose -- BINGO -- a stroke.
He's learned to live with it.

 

I hope things go well for him.

wow thats not good. he and his family will be in my thoughts. hope the surgery and recovery go well..

 

Chris is in my prayers. My father-in-law has been through this twice, both on an emergency basis. He made it through ok but is was touch and go there for a while.

I don't know him, but the short time I have been here he has always contributed, so he must be an OK guy. Best of luck there Chris.

From what I understand, the headache is a side effect of your brain suddenly getting enough blood again, Actually a good sign!
