Mercury dime 1916 wery worn mint mark ?

    I'd guess, offhand, that it's a D.

    The D mint mark is set in closer to the stem of the laurel wreath and is in a wear line with the tops of the letters in ONE, so even extremely worn surfaces such as this coin, the mint mark is still revealed.

    If you still think there is a mint mark present, it is in the wrong place, too large and was probably added by moving the surface metal to form a crude D.
