If your going to be the professor, I'd like a transfer out of this class then....if I'm going to be taught something, I want to graduate with reliable information. Shoot, 3rd grade was hard enough, much less chloride sulfates.
Hi tcarey. I think you started a great thread. :thumb: Could I ask something about the coin? In the image, the green is a really bright green. Is it that bright in hand or is it much darker?
Here is an observation from an innocent bystander. Your conduct and attitude in this thread is evidence of why this forum is your final coin sanctuary and explains your user name. Now lets see if the teacher can also learn.
its not nice to poke in other peoples conversations.this was merely a coin related debate. this would be 2wice tonight your comments are "off topic"
The way one conducts themselves on a public forum is extremely important. Important enough to warrant an off topic post. However, the post of yours that I quoted had nothing at all to do with coins. You opened the door!
Acetone Results For some reason I am not able to upload the photos as I usually do. So here are the links to the photos. Okay, here are pictures after about an hour long soak in Acetone. Sorry the pictures are darker than the original one, but I don't have the same light from the first picture. It looks slightly improved, but definitely not significant. I guess it is on to verdigone(sp?). I will have to order it online, as the local coin shop does not carry it. So the next step might take awhile. As always, your comments regarding the coin and progress are welcome. http://s962.photobucket.com/albums/ae106/tcarey28/?action=view¤t=IMG_2174.jpg http://s962.photobucket.com/albums/ae106/tcarey28/?action=view¤t=IMG_2172.jpg
Just an update on my side,I just found a small hoard of pennies, that were stored away in a box, unfortunately they were all stored in PVC flips, and all of them have the same green slime as your indian.
Okay, back in the Acetone she goes! BTW... how did you get the photos to show up that size in the thread. Whenever I attach photos, they always end up with the thumbnail and people have to click the photo to enlarge it. I always make sure the size is under 250k, but am not sure what else to do. Thanks...
It's really easy. In Photobucket below each image, look for IMG Code (forth option down). Copy that and past it in the body of the reply you are doing.
