Can anyone tell me anything about a quarter like this. Since it's stamped both side tales there's no mint mark or date. So what do I have? Thanks in advance!
without an image i can pretty much tell you it is probably a fantasy piece or a magicians piece, if you look closely you can find a line either on the edge or the inside of one of the rims that shows where the backs of two seperate coins are put together
No Heads I'ld gander a guess that is a quarter with no "Heads" side. {aka OBVERSE} Check it's weight. Simple thing to build by using a soda straw and a Popsicle stick and two know quarters. Does yours weigh more or less than a "Standard" quarter? Plus what the other folks said......there is more than one way to re~tail a coin.
Pictures Hope these can tell you something. I had a problem uploading, even though the photos were less than 250KB. Follow the links below. Thanks! Image1 Image2 Image3
In image #2 you can see the seam especially towards the bottom. This is a magicians or a novelty coin.
I compared the weight to another quarter and it seems to balance on a popsicle stick. What does that mean anyway?
That get's my hopes up but what are the odds this is real? It would probably be best to have a professional check it out huh? Do they want $$$ just to take a look?
And one of the poorest quality examples I've seen since buying my first one from the magic shop between my home and my junior high school near the end of WW II.
