    Round 5 recap:

    Really good participation this round....

First,, Welcome Sunflower and Jello... have fun.

    Solid round for all....

    ANACS grades:
1955 - MS64 > D/S, hard to see variety. No one called it out.
    ANI grades:
1986 - MS70 - love those self slabbers..... I thought this one would be an easy pick, actually threw out there for Swish and Bqcoins to take advantage of and realize thier first drop along with the others who realized it in the previous round.. haha, neither chose to score it and so will have to wait until the next round to realize thier first dropped score as both are now at 15 each... oh well. Those who did score it did pretty well.
    PCGS grades:
2006 - MS69 - pretty much exactly as Duke described.
    NGC grades:
1972 - PF68 - nice and blue too. attractive proof.

Observations: 55 was kinda a cruddy picture and even in hand doesn't look like a 64 to me... RPM bump maybe. Others were pretty much in line imo.

Awards for this set of cents:
Best - Duke & BadThad - .25 > another couple of near exacta's... no one's done it in roughly 20 rounds now,, who'll be the first.?
    HA - Chip - 2.33, the 72 hurt ;)
    Others:
    bigjpst - .50
    sunflower - 1.0
    swish - .67
    bqcoins - .33
    rlm's - .33
    raider - .75
    lehigh - 1.0
    mark_h - .75
    jello - .33 > nice start

    On to round 6............

Just curious, but what am I seeing on the rims for that 1972-S. Both side look like they are speckled.

So if I had passed on the ANI I'd have it perfect...should have passed I guess :D
Not that I can complain. That .25 off will help in the long run.

All these strange coins that aren't Morgan dollars are killing me :goofer:.

Looks like gunk to me. probably the residue from the original packing and source of the toning.

No guts no glory,,, I'd have taken a stab at it myself. I think the potential downside was limited, and every grade gets you closer to a drop score... and 1 pt is a good stab.

Well after your tear out of the gate I have to re-dial the schedule a bit,,, unfortunately for others, and fortunately for you, the backside of this game may be a bit Morg heavy...

Now how can that 86 be a 70? Look at the hit in the field by the Y in liberty.
