Time to have a discussion with e-bay, and get this guy kicked off !

    Why?

He was told it was NG and he pulled the ale.

That makes him a good guy.

    Unless, he relists it

I would have to question that, it seems to me at least he was being deceptive in the listing or maybe he just didnt know but I find that hard to believe especially when your dealing with older coin, before you list a coin for sale you want to know all about in order to get top dollar, so to me theres a problem there, at very least a
conversation with the bay to put them on alert just in case it happens again.

Jack can spot things I cannot and I have specialized in early copper for decades. I simply do not know and will not besmirch the seller's character unless there is a pattern of similar activity.

Known sellers of fakes in large quantities will not generally de-list a coin, but will argue about it.

But I do trust Jack's opinion more than my own so I will vouch for Jack's character.

I've bought many coins from this seller. I think sometimes he is just overwhelmed with his wholesale purchases. I've seen 2 rare varieties that he has listed unattributed. A 1918/7-D, just this month, and an 1888/7 Indian Cent, a year or 2 ago.

I own 3 of this "variety", two in top TPG holders as genuine- they are that deceptive. I made an attempt to buy it but the seller was committed to get it back to the Dealer he purchased it from whom he said would just add it to his counterfeit box.

The seller has over 550K positive feedbacks. The only negatives are from people that never received their coin. The seller comments he has no control over the mail and that he sent refunds. Do you really think ebay would kick this kind of seller out? That's like saying a TPG should be investigated for slabbing counterfeits.

It looks like the C-1 to my untutored eye. What gave it away?

Many of the markers in your article are apparent here. On the reverse, the dinged "A", the broken stem northwest of the "H", and the scar above the "L" for example.

Thats the point, that way if it happens again theres a pattern, I sell on ebay as well
and I check out everything before I list it, if you dont know the product good enough
and theres a chance of it being a fake, DONT LIST IT !

Understood; I am curious if you would have recognized this as counterfeit if it passed your desk?
