Put a hologram on this die that has been collecting dust at the BEP

Even though I like color on notes I would prefer this style with some security features.
Just change the Gold Certificate to a FRN.

Don't get me wrong, as you are want to take things at face value and all... I don't mind your opining in the least. And post count competition is the last thing I care about in a forum. Number of posts isn't the point even though you surely outrank most members since your start date, have a look. My point is the quality and integrity of information you put forth and the proliferation of misinformation you tend to carelessly spread, let alone the biased uneducated nature of certain opinions, such as with today's release, which you hadn't even read about nor seen first hand before denouncing the new Series. :loud:

That Lincoln design is tre cool! But unfortunately, it wouldn't fit into the overall look-and-feel of the other current note designs to be cohesive and relevant to the modern style in use.

Exactly, it is uglier then barf on the sidewalk.

Heard on the National news tonight that many think they are trying to imitate the Euro... Is the Euro THAT fugly?

Thank God for customized credit cards - no need to carry this toilet paper with me.

The modern style sucks though... they should factor that in and change it back to something good looking and classy.

I was thinking the same thing! Its getting to close to the Euro design
I would compare it to the Corvette trying to mimic the Ferrari, I think
We need just a little more originality here!:eating:

I wish the poll had an option for indifference or neither. Numismatically, it has positive and negative points.

i just hate the big $100 on the back and thats about it, the front could use some work but after that is look's good.

Now that would be cool in a small size modern, The one thing i really
Dont like about what we have currently is the offset of the picture
On the note, It looks better in the middle!

your right, it feel's so unreal that after 13 year's of the old $100 bill and now it will be gone it's weird.

The mob rules with pitchforks and torches instead of speaking up in advance of these new Series rolling out. Just think of the beauty our currency would bestow if only the mob-mentality were to do something useful to benefit our currency in a positive manner rather than berate it at their earliest opportunity.

I gather from everyone's logic here, that you would have sooner burnt all the watermelons, guardians and C notes of past Series upon your immediate review of those notes, and likely to the detriment of any history of US currency which most seem so nostalgic for yet were not present when originally put into circulation.

I serious do not see that much difference in the 'busy' design of today's unveiled note nor the other current circulating notes to that of the ornate busy designs of yesteryear. Aesthetics are one thing that you can wage against, but innovation and technological advancement are also part of the equation, as is a keen focus on protecting our currency from fraud. Beauty is skin deep, in this case a few fibers but there lies far much more than a visual representation here.

Implying that a national symbol is sidling up to the look of the Euro is ridiculous although presenting to the world a design that is in step with global design standards is certainly responsible. It is certainly intelligent to present a currency that is identifiable from that of other nations and one which people will react to and choose to utilize with faith that it does what it says it does, tender itself for all debts, public and private.

The advancements in production hurdles in order to bring a thing of the past, paper money, with an established look and FEEL of traditional paper money into the contemporary time frame of credit cards and virtual money, involves incredible design prowess that is ages beyond the crude commentary this forum is expressing towards the new Series on it's first public appearance.

Do take the time to do more than fire cheap shots at our new Series 2009 $100 note.
