Don't really like the vertical blue bar going down the middle of the bill but it will probably look better in hand than in photos. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these.
I think the 3D security ribbon will look very cool in hand! Can't wait to see them. I wish they had at least put up a larger size video on the splash page. It's also unfortunate that the order form and downloadable educational materials links are either not operational or at a snails pace today on the day of unveiling.
New $100 Educational Materials - Downloadable PDFs from NewMoney.gov There are four downloadable PDFs on the order form pages. Just click the little PDF icon and you can download the new $100 Poster, brochure and educational materials for free. The files are big (8 MB to 15 MB range) and may take a while to download depending upon your connection and download rates. Some of the files download as zipped files that can be unstuffed.
The verdict is out on this one still. I'll have to let it simmer a bit before I decide if I like it. Probably have to have one in hand too.
ok any of you who are not happy and dont want it can submit it to the royal treasury ill be more than happy and i wont complain about the design which is fanatastic to say the least
That's part of how they make them harder to fake. ----BTW, I predicted the orange color in an earlier post!
Well if I compare it to the old hundreds I don't like it but compared to the newer ones I do. But again in hand...in hand...
Should I start collecting a few of the "older" version, or did they make so many that it wouldn't be worth it? Also, the coins and paper money I save is for my children, perhaps worth it for them?
Simms: Depends on which series you mean by 'older' as there's quite a number of 'older' notes out there in US currency and where the $100 note is considered. Some series of notes have huge printages, others, not so many. You could look for star (*) notes in any series and hold onto those. You'd do best to buy some books on Small Sized FRNs to begin with and look over the numbers noting which series are more scarce. Look at ebay, Heritage and other completed auctions archives to get a feel for prices realized, then choose something you'd like to leave for your kids.
