I was recently pouring thru my lock box and ran across a double-die 1995 cent that I had bought from some coin company...I think I paid $209.00.....did I get stuck?
NGC MS68RD are usually between 150-180. However, when first discovered and publicized, there was no good idea of how many there were going to be discovered, so initial value was quite high. Some early discoveries were close to 200, even as just average 63-65 , but fortunately for the collector, there seems to be 100,000+ struck, and are readily available.
While they have come down and stabilized quite a bit over the last 15 years, when they were first discovered they were pushing that price level. Today you can buy certified MS66RD coins for well under $100.
