Dont worry,I know the type, and can experience the full images in my creative head.Even if you dont like your photos. With it it is no longer a blank canvas.I can put all of the pieces together, and see it clearly. It is like a voliet, with deep purple, and just a slight hint of blue somewhere.its gorgeous.thanks for sharing,I love it

Here's one that I've always thought looked nice in hand. It was in a PCGS MS64 holder when I bought it, but now it's in a PCGS Genuine holder. I guess they didn't like the toning when I sent it in to be put into plastic again?

Crackout game:crying: it deserves a grade

Valid point.....as much as the TPG's have cracked down on toners, this is especially true of clads. Very attractively toned clads, IMHO, are always going to be suspect. I owned the nicest toned clad Kennedy I've ever seen (an '87-P, PCGS MS67...pop top at the time....bluish/gold hues over 100% of the coin, just spectacular), and I got a VERY VERY nice premium for the toning when I broke up my Kennedy set 1 1/2-2 years or so ago. Today, if that same coin were to cross the graders desk raw, it may not have graded. It is without doubt the nicest toned '87-P Kennedy in existence. But again, if it crossed the grading table today, 50/50 at best the it would grade.

I love that SBA's toning, but again, if that hit the table, it may very well not come back gradable. It's too bad that was cracked out...it could be a long time till it can get back in a gradable slab.

It was never graded,if you line all the susan b's I have.you will see the color progression starts at one corner of the holder it was in.they were in a box set.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this the Peacegate coin?

ps, I don't own it but since we posted every other toned Peace Dollar in existence, I didn't want the king to be left out.

There have been many debates whether or not the toning is Legit, same with the Anaconda coin. Still a pretty coin, but the strike is a little mushy for my taste.

@MarauderIf that textiled peace dollar ever ends up on the selling block, there will be at least one moon money bidder for it I can guaratee that.

@Robec your end of roller is a PCGS 66 if i remember correctly? Too bad all toned reverses dont tone like that. Well good thing for you they dont :)

Anaconda also had a toned Peace dollar that was in a NGC holder that was AT. Which was around the same time the toned peace Leigh posted surfaced. It seems to me all the wildly toned ones are in NGC holders besides the first one I posted which is in a PCGS MS66 holder.

The text in bold indicates an important detail about the PCGS Secure Plus system that you misunderstood. PCGS does not claim that this system will detect an AT coin simply by an initial examination of the coin. Rather, PCGS claims the system will be able to recognize a coin that it has previously scanned in the event that the coin is subsequently manipulated. These are two very different concepts.
