Thad, Have you ever seen one with a mint mark ? Or do you think the absence of one contributes to the way the damage occurs ? And does the machine ever damage the shoulder of Lincoln or the lettering in Liberty ?

I have never seen one of these wrapping machines operating in detail. LOL

I got this tendency to take things apart just to see how it functions. Especially when something breaks. Drives my wife crazy, but I have done this as long as I can remember.

And a lot of stuff does get fixed. LOL

ocd enough to be annoying, but not enough to be committed. phew! dodged a bullet there.

Hey being committed ain't so bad. They feed you 3 times a day and you get to watch TV in the big room.

Not sure if I've seen a branch mint one yet or not. I don't pay much attention to these, they pop up now and then. I don't think the MM has anything to do with it. Surfaces get damaged all the time, everywhere, by the counting and rolling process.

Only what someone is willing to pay. ;)

If I remember, that dealer was trying to sell one to me for like $10. I offered $2 just to have a duplicate, he refused, I walked.

Like I said before, I may try to get a set of these for something to do. But I gotta rid myself of a lot of other junk first.
    Still $2 is a higher value than a 1941 vf, right ?

I thought my offer was GENEROUS for a PMD coin. A VF 1941 is worth about 2-3 cents max to me....in fact, I wouldn't knowingly even buy a 1941 cent unless it was like MS68. LOL

I had a feeling these banged pennies were worth more . LOL All I really know is that they sure have much more conversation quality.
