Hi everyone, No Metal Detecting yesterday. Last week I gave our church a mason jar they gave me earlier in the year. Every year they do a fundraiser for the Young Adults Ministry. The purpose is to fill the jar anytime my family and I could with loose change and even add some paper currency. The total the church collected was over $1,100.00 As a gift for giving they gave the participants this cool Chocolate Coin By the way.. Plata Lata translates into a can of silver. Or.. A Jar of money
Yes a great program and thoughtful gift to you! I have to ask, did you get to look through the coins for a possible one being worth a little to sell for them and donate back?
Yes. I always do. Nothing that stood out. I just wish I could have the chance to look at the other jars they collected. But all the coins were rolled up and deposited in the bank.
Oh ok. I know you would look at yours. No doubt lol! But yes knowing you know coins, wish they would have but Understandable.
Cool! At my church the Youth Group has a noisy bucket offering once a month which they use for their projects and annual mission trip.
