Woah Frank, that's one mangled coin. Anything on the other side?

Nope but the thing is this 'mangled' coin is probably quite valuable.

From what I am seeing, the crosses on you coin kinda matches the designs on Henry II (Plantagenet), That is one large cross with 4 smaller crosses. The norman Coins I see have more of a Rosette designed cross

After some research I kind of guessed it could be Henry to but I was unsure :)

    Thanks :)

    Any idea of value?

Actually I think the mangledness in this case helps the aesthetics. That's one cool looking piece! All the moreso if it's authentic (whatever it is ;)).

It looks more cup shaped than mangled.???? Just an uneducated opinion or idea. How do you come across all these coins FrankVenn?

Thanks for posting. Always a nice surprise.

I'm pretty sure most Norman coins were shaped weirdly and not always round like a lot of Saxon & Medieval were.

I know literally nothing about Norman history, I have no interest in learning about the French ;)
