VAM 12-A Mustache

    Collecting Nut Borderline Hoarder

    A 1922 Peace Dollar and she has an unmistakable Mustache. It can be seen clearly without magnifying. She has some roughness to her but she could be in a circus. I’ve had this for a long time and just rediscovered it.

    I’m not a VAM collector but this is one that I had to have. Not sure of what I paid or it’s value today.

    Originally designated as a VAM-2B, the "Moustache" variety Peace Dollar has been redesignated as the VAM-12A. This was due to the reverse later being found to be the late die state of the VAM-12 doubled die.
