Hey I bought a medal and it has a head shot of Hitler. I hope nobody gets offended about me posting this but these are collectible tokens and go for some very good money at times. Anyone here know what this may be worth? thxu

Thats very interesting and I wouldn't mind owning one for the fact that it is unusual! I'd be interested in buying this if you wanted to sell.

I can't really read it myself apart from the front saying Adolf Hitler 1945...

I'm not offended. From a historical perspective, I have multiple varieties and specimens of third reich coinage in my collection.

Looks like it says Adolf Hitler then the birth date to possible death date?

    Loosely translated

That's what both looks to me.

This token is a bit creepy though, if indeed that's a death date. That would mean it's post-facto and the token's origin (producer) seems nefarious IMO.

Hey Frank, are there any laws over there about collecting Nazi stuff?

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure your not aloud to show Nazi memorabilia publicly though, as you can expect...

I don't have any Nazi memorabilia so I could be wrong...

Many people think that after Hitler killed himself the war ended. However the Reich lasted almost a month after he died and there were still ay fanatics out there. could it have been made by some SS group? or maybe its a neo nazi thing.....Who knows

    I wonder what its worth.

My guess is it was probably made by the latter... Don't think there was much going on industrially nor resource-wise during that last month of the war which would have enabled production of such.

It could just be a one off but I agree with you it was probably made later on.

WEll i think we can safely say that it was not made in Germany, the people of germany were taught to be ashamed of Hitler and no such token would have been made in the east or west after world war two
