1918 wheat penny

    Has anyone seen anything like this?? This has to be from the mint. What it was to make it like this tho is perplexing. Maybe I’m wrong, but looking at it, there is no way this coulda been done after strike. What do y’all think?

    Just the opposite. It did not happen at the mint. Someone with too much time on their hands did this. How? Thats anyones' guess.

    Yes.. The Cent is from the Mint..

    But not everything that looks weird, strange or different is automatically a mint error.

    Unfortunately as everyone else has stated it's an altered Cent.
