This homely fellow is one of my favorites. Found checking a roll of wheaties. Although well circulated, he appears to be a DDO, specifically a FS-01-1936-102. (Check out the numerals of the date.)
Here's another circulated specimen "caught in the wild". Looks to be a FS-01-1944D-502 (repunched mint mark)
I wasn't the one that removed the early-stage contamination. I hope that silverish color travels to the rest of the coin eventually.
Dunno, appears to have been pressed into an album. It has neon green (my fav toning), hard to capture with my setup.
Nice surfaces and steps on that 1963. Here’s mine which doesn’t quite have as good a strike on the steps. It shows a lot more hairlines from touching up the obverse die.
As you can see from my posts, I've been focused on the 60's cents. My collection needed some upgrades!
