So I found this 1959 d LMC that's in descent shape coin roll hunting. So I checked it for any rpms and I believe it's a match to stage a in the rpm-017. I noticed the serifs are spirit at the top and bottom of the d. What's your thoughts??And I can't get my phone camera to focus worth a crap to get front and back pictures but I got the mint mark.
Hey @Newbee03 ! Very hard to tell from just the Mint mark alone. Need to see the whole coin Obv. and Rev. Please. Match up the Die markers as well.
Hey @Newbee03 ! Try this with your Phone. Mine's not too expensive and it take amazing shots. I use a jar or anything like a kleenex box. Seriously, they work.
First look for the details. You have already done that. Second look for the MM placement. Sometimes an RPM can look like another just in a different die stage. But the position isn't correct. Third match the coin to the correct die stage.
So I got the best photos that my phone will take of obvs and revs. I appreciate everyone's comments. I checked for the die chip in the last piller and the die crack in his head but it dose not show that so I don't believe it's stage b or c
Those are a bit better, still blurry though. Try setting your phone on a solid object so it's stable.
