1974-D Doubled eye?

I don’t see any doubling…that’s MD on the GO/GOD. Try posting a close-up of the eye area, like you did for the date…Spark

 

check variety vista for the 1955-D ddo. Same as this.

 

Ok, I see it. Looks like someone might have scraped it on purpose. Might be an attempted fake. Pretty good blending. Thanks for looking. I have a hard time getting the lighting right when I blow a picture up.

 

Take another look at the FS-101.
The eye's aren't even close.
Also the date shows a nice seperation with notching, there is doubling to the vest.

Yours shows flat and shelf like doubling along the profile. It is MD.

I didn't think it was a doubled die. I was just questioning the eye. I included the other pictures because people always ask for more pictures.

 

The eye DD's can be some of the toughest to identify. If you find them start looking from the center out to find other doubling like it. That is usually were you will be able to identify the type of doubling.
