Is LEGACY referring to Legacy Numismatics ?

I’m not sure. I know CAC has partnered with multiple people on this venture.

Actually.... I think I kind of like it. It forces more focus on the coin and less focus on the plastic to me.

The label color is kind of bland.

The holder is really ugly. None of the class of PCGS and NGC.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

    Where did you find that?

That is distinctly unattractive. I also can't really tell which green parts are from the slab, and what is a poorly-rendered image of the background. I really hope the slab itself isn't green, because that distracts from any coin.

It also looks quite a bit like the PCGS slab... did someone do a mockup of what they think it might look like, based on a PCGS slab?

The Green Bean sticker has more appeal. That color for the label is terrible.

Yeah, I was hoping for something a little more "wow" with the holders, while still being conservative in general. Meaning, not flash colors and weird stuff like some of the off-brand sports card TPGs are doing.

The "legacy" I believe refers to the fact that the coin was previously holdered AND stickered. So, the physical sticker is inside the holder on the backside.

This is as opposed to say a coin you cross over to the new submission, or a raw coin, that never had an original / old / legacy style green / gold CAC sticker.

Here is the full original image to compare the "legacy" verison to the non-legacy version:

Heck, I don't think JA is gonna overthink the design of a clear plastic rectangle, just what's going into it. :)

Did he not overthink this… Using PCGS truview plate coin images for use in his “sample slab” images?? :banghead: Pretty lame if you can’t even use your own images.

I like it, the clear prongs were the right choice. Its about the same size as a PCGS slab too so you can still use those boxes for storage. I do wish the ones that will have stickers had the sticker on the front though.

The Legacy ones are the previously stickered coins that were crossed over.

I’m with Randy. Attention goes to the coin where it belongs.
