Looks like a 1941 mercury dime ($1-$1.50) and a 1925 Buffalo nickel (about the same).

thanks, i have been given a handful of old foreign coins and i liked the look of these and wondered if they were worth any thing? i have a lot more but its hard to separate the junk new stuff from the rarer coins, from all countries. i saw the indian and thought it was a rare one but obiously not.i still like them all the same. recently my mother came accross a mule 20 pence piece with no date, she is lucky tho.

They are small for the same reason you put milk in your tea........because that's the way we do it!

As one of your own from another forum likes to say, "Daft Englishman!" LOL!!

The Buffalo Nickel minted from 1913 - 1938, designed by James Earle Fraser. The obverse design of a Native American, 3 chiefs used as models, the reverse design of the American Buffalo, believed to have been modeled after Black Diamond, a buffalo at the New York Central Park Zoo.

The Winged Liberty Head, or Mercury dime, minted from 1916-1945, designed by Adolph A. Weinman.

    Nice coins.
