In case anyone is interested - this is a high quality archival quality coin album that holds 2x2 coin flips. It is not specific to any series or coin type. I requested notification from Dansco when they were back in stock, and just got it so I picked one up (52 left according to the online inventory) with 9 pages holding 12 coins per page (album can hold 12 more pages, also for sale, I believe) even better, it's on sale for $20.97 from $25.45 Coin Stock Book 9 pages Dansco Album #7000 . Unfortunately they don't have the slip covers for this currently in stock, but I'm on the waiting list for that too. I also like the Lighthouse albums, but mostly for slabbed / graded coins.

I've been awaiting the 7070 for about 3 years now. I called Dansco directly about a month ago asking if they've completely discontinued this album. Their response was that they're incredibly far behind due to their relocating, C19 shutdowns and loss of a large pct of their workforce, and a mfg plant fire. The 7070 is supposedly on the docket for manufacturing sometime in 2023.

The fact that they haven't been able to produce any 7070s in years is mind-boggling to me. You'd think they were producing rocket engines or fighter jets rather than cardboard coin albums.

Yeah, it DOES seem that they have ready excuses for not making those albums... and HAVE had such excuses for YEARS now...

The cost of making the 7070 is much greater than most any other album. Each page is a different setup and requires several sizes of punches and dies.
Dansco needed to work on easy albums to get back to making money. Even the easy albums had to be updated before production could start.
I'm sure they will catch up at some point if the profit starts coming in and they have the money to get there.

Wish Dansco and Whitman made more foreign albums like for modern Britain and New Zealand Decimal coins.
