No. That's mechanical doubling. Worthless doubling. Not a Doubled Die Obverse variety. Do not provide your e-mail in your poll. I believe it's against forum rules.
As stated, all images show the flat, shelflike characteristic of machine doubling. You have been a member for over 1 year and must have seen posts that clearly show the difference between true doubled die varieties and the MD versions, and some detailed descriptions of knowledgeable members of how to tell them apart. If not would suggest you use the search function to review the older posts and utilise the links contained therein to familiarise yourself with how each appears. Happy reading
I have a 1913 d buffalo and its slightly rotated and has the 2 large feathers doubled and chin and nose doubled, would anyone know if its a new discovery cause its not in variety vista. here's the photos. if anyone can tell me if this is possibly new discovery on a 1913 d buffalo nickel, pls let me know
Yes. We respond if we know the answer. That's why it's called a forum. It works. I've been asking questions since 2013.
That is die deterioration and MD, It's not gonna change cause you posted the same pics again. If you think it is still a new variety then send the coin off to get attributed. Then get back to us with the grade and new discovery. Or, you can chalk it up as die deterioration and MD your choice.
I HAD A DUPLICATE PHOTO ON MY PHOTOS, i PUT THE GOOD ONES UP WHERE IT SHOWS THE MIDDLE SIZE FEATHER DOUBLED ALSO, SO DO YOU STILL THINK ITS MD
