I purchased this FEC from John Call a few years ago. I wanted it as I liked the cud on its reverse. Also to be quite honest out of all the roll and bad searching I did years ago had I ever found a coin with a cud.
The year 1857 had an seated liberty quarter that was clashed with an FEC. And I know that there are several varieties of clashes on FEC. However I am at a loss connecting the dots here to figure out the clash on this specimen..
Maybe another set of fresh eyes can see what Im missing. I have a educated guess but wont say anything that I believe it to be until others have chimes in.
    Thanks in advance 20221010_071609.jpg 20221008_201640.jpg 20221008_201614.jpg

I know these really well but can't figure out what you have. The cud looks like the S-10 but I'm not seeing the DDO.

Does this overlay from mad die clashes help?

Can you get a close-up of the date? I think I see the 7 repunched but the date position doesn't jive.

The date has been repunched look at the 1 under the flag. However take a close look at the 7. There's something under the 7 look to the west and south east. With 17,800,000 minted make one wonder if an 1856 die wasnt reworked. C:WINDOWSTempB037 - 20221010_105641.jpg

It's obviously not Snow-10 as there isn't repunching of the date. The date is also punched farther to the left.

From cuds on coins website. This could be the same obverse, w/o clashes.

But you all see exactly what I am saying? Why I am sratching my head... the items that I posted are there they aren't a figment of my imagination. LoL
Plus the cud on my coin is an earlier die state...as ifs not flatten...it comes to a point.
To be honest when I purchased it..I did because of the cud...and its in set B of my two FEC & IHC .
I just gave it a quick glance and put it in the coin board.

I'm still playing around looking for something that would create those clash marks. The quarter eagle is close but I don't know.
