Hello... I'm having a bit of trouble on finding out what this hammered coin is... I'm pretty sure its an Edward I, Bury St Edmund's Penny... Also a rough estimate on its value would be great..I got it in group of coins off ebay. I paid roughly £8 for it. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREAT! THANKS. Sorry about the crap photos
I agree, Edward II, minted 1310-14 JJ North Class XI, 1061 b. Boy I hope you don't post many of those. I am not familar enough with the early British coinage and it takes me forever to look them up
That will work for most coins. But to accurately attribute the hammered coinage, you will need the JJ North books that I told you about.
