While not technically exonumia, I did get it out of a dealer’s box. Usually St. Christopher medals are blank on the reverse so that makes this a little weird to begin with but I think the style of the car is interesting and helps date this piece. And from the same dealer a well worn encased cent. Common one that can easily be found in great condition for about $12
This is a 2016 $5 Cook Islands art piece coin in silver and glass for the Murine Millefore coin - in a limited edition of 999. It's a large piece at 56mm with glass fused onto silver in what I think is a very beautiful piece of craftsmanship. From the web, "this series features an elaborate combination of fine silver and colourful glass elements. State of the art minting technology is combined with the millenia-old Millefiori tradition, which already inspired the ancient Romans. Each coin is unique, as the coloured glass pieces within the heart and ring ornaments melt into each other to create an unparalleled pattern." The first two are the sellers pictures and the last is a stock image that I think highlights the coin, but it is not this particular coin - they're all a bit different.
I think this might be the earliest of the 1851 Territorial $50 Gold Slug reproductions. 1906 Thompson Restaurants 50th Anniversary Slug Z
Very nice, Chris B. I love the unusual shaped tokens like this. It's in beautiful condition too. Do you know what the Baldwin's piece sold for? Will give you an idea of its value. Bruce
I owned at one time and I think it was from the cook islands too a qulling art coin. Really neat. Love this piece!
If you would've told me I'd see a buffalo and camel wearing a fez 5 minutes ago, I would've called you crazy...
And you would have been correct . . . . Folks are always telling me, "Zoid, you've lost your mind!" I remind them that you cannot "lose" something that you never had in the first place. Z
They sold one of these that had more wear along with a more common token and it sold for 80 pounds + fees. I feel like I did fine with what I paid for it. The seller hadn't done the research that I have done since.
I think that's a decent price considering the rarity of it. As long as you're happy with what you paid for it that's all that matters. Bruce

Another modern Swiss Shooting Medal. ca. 1960's Switzerland-Schwarzenburg silvered 50 mm Nice Uncirculated shooting medal with green enamel by Vrenell. Obverse: female figure with coat of arms Reverse: 4 line legend with a gun in the background
Two Pennyweight = 3.11 grams. This weight looks like it was gold plated on both faces but not on the edge, maybe to help keep it clean and look nice. These photos make it look flat/dull, it is a bit on the shiny side. 16.5 mm, 3.09 grams.
