Post 2001 halves

Found a box with no silver but 52 2002-2006 halves in BU condition. Someone must have dumped a bunch of them recently.

Happy days for me....Went to bank this morning came home with 25.00 customer wrapped rolls of pennies searches only 10 so far and I found 99 wide am and 2000 also hope rest of rolls have goodies too

 

Got ten rolls today. Found three 40% kennedys and one 2000 S proof.

 

$120 in customer rolled halves. 2/3rds of the rolls were marked and lablled and had nothing. The rest on the other hand had a 40%, a 1992 S Proof, and a 2003P! Good day I thought as I rarely get anything in halves

I have searched 14 boxes, have not found one...

3 more boxes 6 40%ers. A far cry from last weeks 67 silvers but 6 is better then a sharp stick in the eye....

 

And the drought continues

Yesterday I picked up 2 boxes of halves, plus one customer wrapped roll, and 6 loose......All shutout. Not a single keeper.

So, my shutout spans 7 boxes of halves, $420 of customer wrapped rolls, and 1 box of dimes :headbang: .

In the midst of all of this, last weekend, I did pick up one single 40%er loose in a teller's tray.

I'll try again today.......(hopefully, a bank in which I have scored silver in 9 out of 11 boxes will have ordered halves.....they haven't been able to get any for 2 weeks).

Box 8....a shutout. (though I did find 3 very impaired proofs)

Have one more box and another $100 of customer rolls halves that I found today....we'll see what happens.

 

I hear how many half dollar searchers find proofs every so often, I have been searching cents, and have yet to find a proof, tho I think I might have found a very worn old mpl, but I wonder why I have not seen the occasional proof in the cent rolls?

 

First box of dimes

Searched my first box of dimes. Also searched an additional 20 rolls, so 70 rolls in total. Found 8 Pre-1964 Roosevelt dimes in good condition. No Mercury dimes though. Hope to find one in the next box!

I have found 3 in so far, they are hard to come by

 

I have only found 1 so far a 1987S

 

Today I searched I got yesterday from my "lucky" bank (9 of 11 previous boxes had silver)......

9th shutout in a row.

I also searched $100 in customer wrapped rolls and was shut out through 8 rolls (making it $510 of shutout customer rolls), and finally broke through in roll #9 with 2 1964 coins and one 40%er.

However, my box shutout streak is still intact. I'm at nine, matching my alltime best (worst) streak. I'm gunning for Erin's record streak of 12 (or was it 13, Erin) in a row with no silver. I hope I don't get the record, lol.

This last box had 30 or more AU/BU 2002 - 2007 coins. Interesting.

 

A few silvers is better than no silver! I'm picking up my first box of halves Friday. Can't wait for them to call me when it arrives.

Going to get more dimes tomorrow. I'll post what I find.

I found this nice 1918 cent today

 

That's pretty good condition 1918. I found 1 silver nickel and a 1956 gem uncirculated in my last box of nickels. I also found a 64 quarter in the last $100 I searched!! First silver quarter I have found...

 

It was 12 full boxes and midway through the 13th box when I finally broke my streak. Yeah, Bob I had a Brinks box last week with over 50 post 2002 halves and todays box had another 63 BU post 2002 halves. Someone dumped a bunch of them for sure.

Congrats to Bob as he gets "sworn in" as President tonight. Sorry Bob but I can't make it tonight. ( Will it be Mr. Bob now?

pocket change

I pulled out my pocket change today just to see if I'd picked up anything over the week-end. I was surprised to find a 1916 wheatie. It was in pretty rough shape but still neat to find.
