Probably, But when something is so over priced making an offer
Of $1,000 less doesnt seem to realistic, Do you really think if
    I offered $2,300 he would accept it????:secret:

I think if he was a little more reasonable, I would make an offer :)

If you offer me $2300 I will accept it, as you seem like an intelligent and reasonable buyer.:)

Way beyond my budget. I think if he truly wanted to sell the note, it would be listed at an auction other than eBay. But he sure creates a stir !

You know, if you believe the provenance, the most amazing thing about this note is that it floated around in circulation for more than 40 years before anyone noticed it. That should give all of some hope!

I have had exactly the same experience with him every time I have bought something from him. An excellant seller with an exceptional collection, I have made him low ball offers on notes and on three occasions he accepted, on two he countered with a very reasonable offer and I accepted.

Does anyone know more about him, daes he have a shop, where is he located?
I would love to see some of these in person.

Well, so far since the listing went up 61 people have made offers, all of which he declined.

Unfortunately, with ebay's current setup there's no way to see whether any of those offers were for real bucks.

I agree with those who think he has no intention - or desire - to sell it, and is just using it as a marketing device.
