Jessie I didn’t buy them these were in my grandfathers collection that I inherited. They were in small envelopes.
I put them in a lense.
    Thanks for checking them out

Sorry, "messed with" is a very ambiguous observation and the fact that they were your Grandfather's is what counts. A lot of people still get the notion of wiping/polishing their silver and the old timers were notorious for it. Probably interpreting the photos incorrectly... just look wiped / scratched to me. Envelopes can obviously create abrasions too, but anyways, great pics of the trio. Have a good evening!

Because what’s left on it is George Washington. Look closely to see it. LOL

I forget what design it is but it’s a “Waffle Quarter”. The mint does this to defective coins and they are supposed to be sent back to be recycled but a few of them find their way out of the mint and into the hands of the public.

Well, it just so happens that I completed my Washington set this month. Two are in my SDB, don't have pictures. 20220929_220222.jpg 20220929_220232.jpg 20220929_220302.jpg 20220929_220310.jpg 20220929_220333.jpg 20220929_220340.jpg 20220929_220417.jpg 20220929_220424.jpg 20220929_220440.jpg 20220929_220446.jpg
