Another member just posted the same coin with the same date that they found roll hunting. They thought it was silver as well but a few members enlightened him.

Actually no, I believe the monetary system was adjusted, so move decimal point three places to the left. You now need like 2000 of these for a beer now.

 

No I don't drink. That is what I say when I find modern Canadian coins. If I ever go to Canada, I can use them.

In one way the poster that says you can buy a beer in Mexico with the coins is correct. You can't redeem coins for exchange to dollars away from the border, only currency. Same for Canada.
