During the first few months after I started coin collecting, I decided I wanted to get some old gold coins. I went to a reputable dealer to see if he had anything. He did happen to have a 1904 Liberty Gold Double Eagle that he had just bought. He also had an 1895 Liberty Gold Eagle. He was going to a show and told me he would be glad to help get my coins graded, which he did. It cost me $60. The two coins cost me $1950. The Double Eagle came back a Details coin because there were scratches on the face of the obverse of the coin. The gold eagle was graded MS61. He offered to buy them back and to pay the cost of the grading. I kept the coins and still have them. He called me about a month later and told me he had just bought a 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold coin. It came with the Mint's box, the shipping box and the book. It had been graded by PCGS as an MS68. I mentioned the graded to a few people and was told that they would sell it. I still have it.
My thoughts on my gold coins is that I wouldn't buy them if I didn't like them. To date, I have not sold any coins that I bought or were given to me or I found. I enjoy looking at my coins.
    All my best to y'all.

APMEX and Liberty coin mostly, I really like foreign GOLD Krugerrands, Libertads
and Pesos,Mexican GOLD is on fire !! low production levels make it very desirable
plus you pay a big premium !
