I'm located up North in the middle of the country, and my sellers know that my check is good as the pre-1933 caced Gold I'm buying. To assure my sellers of prompt payment delivery, every payment is sent via USPS certified mail, and generally sent the day of coin(s) purchase. The tracking number is promptly forwarded to the seller so they know the payment is in the "system". The latest delivery time is 2 weeks, where the seller sends the coin upon check receipt, and e-mails a tracking number, with method of delivery notification. In the past I often had a "round-trip" transaction completed within 5 days when ordering from a firms' owner. This system was generated after having payments received by prominent firms, and reported as "unreceived", when believed .received by an improper employee. The certified mail payment has reduced that problem, except with some of the larger firms, where I just stopped purchasing. I've had problems with the new ebay/paypal system. I cancelled Paypal use to determine that ebay was the problem, but they now know I've proof of delivery, expediting shipment. JMHExperience!
I buy just about everything from either APMEX or Liberty Coin, I use AMEX for purchase the point add up pretty fast and I just pay it off at the end of the month so no interest and get allot nice perks, I think ebay has the best selection over all but I never buy there and one of the reasons is they dont accept AMEX not sure why they dont give people that option.
it’s neck and neck, looks like there arriving both tomorrow just at different times but I do suspect the APMEX delivery will carry over to Friday will see.
Here’s another update on the AMPEX coin, though things that I have gotten from them in the past have taken 3 different routes, unfortunately this time around it’s taking the worst possible basically driving right by my house to LA really scratching my head.
Liberty Coin by at least a day, I talked to my mailman a 9:15 delivery time automatically means the following day not sure why they don’t just say Friday …LOL , here’s what came in the mail from Liberty today this absolutely gorgeous 1873 ( Open 3 ) $20 liberty
APMEX is in Oklahoma City so kind of in the middle, there always good. by far have the best selection, as far as price Liberty coin galleries in Huntington Beach, Ca cant be beat, though the selection is less would go there first, thats there the above Liberty came from.
Well it finally showed up, 1 day later if it had taken a more realistic route I would of most likely got this first here it is my 1989 Krugerrand this is actually my middle sons birthday a very tough coin !
