Speaking of Lincoln die cracks, has anyone noticed a lot of them on the obverse side of the 2009 Lincoln's? I've found about five so far, all in different areas and was just wondering if it was a common thing or I just fell into a batch of them. Guy~
I just started searching my first rolls and haven't found any on the obverse, but have found several different ones on the reverse.
Thats a cool die crack. Originally I was looking at all the ones I got for reverse doubling, but then started looking at the obverses and started to notice a lot of die cracks. If I can get good enough pics I'll post a few. Not worth anything, but interesting and fun to find. Guy~
This is my best find so far. One thing you can't see in the lighting of this photo is that there is also a trail die coming off the D in the initial DE. I've found about 9 of these so far from a box I've started searching.
I agree these are a lot of fun to find. I have a few more I am going to post. Not of 2009, but of other Lincolns, and will need help with some off center and one that i do not have a clue how to ID. It is going to take a bit as i had to up the DPI to 2400 as the one I am most curious about is not showing up. Regards, Stan
