Found this one. 1825 classic head half cent. Which is a lower mintage issue at 63,000. A nice little f15.

By the way I'm the self slabber, at my age and with the turn around times I may never get to see them.

Won this other capped bust half last night I didn't expect to win. After winning the small stars I went to bed and my 99.00 bid on this prevailed at 93.00. Being an r4 die marriage with an r5 prime. This is an all around pretty scarce variety. 1819/8 o103a r4

Interesting background from Mr. Bowers in his 2008 Redbook on commemorative Coins. Seems this may have been one of the first modern comm US mint issued that sold out, people couldn't get one, prices went up then eventually came back down. Great design. The proof original cost in pre- order was $35. I picked this up in OGP for $25 on Saturday. Some toning or hazing along the rim fields. DSCN4579~2.JPG DSCN4578~2.JPG DSCN4577~2.JPG

Looks like greysheet is around $45 for this in OGP. I think because of the iconic design and what it represnts this could hold value above issue price.

An attractive example of the notoriously ugly 1895-S Gold Eagle.

Yesterday online purchase 1881 Seated 50C Proof 62 Cameo. I'm not a big "toning" guy but the evenness of this around the edges obverse...lesser on reverse I forgot to save image...but looks and strike are comparable both sides. Total mintage 975. 1881 50c.jpg

Just started adding these to the hoard. Figured I'd knock out the key and semi-key dates early. Philippine-PairObv.jpg Philippine-PairRev.jpg
