I did a bunch of roll searching last X-mas. Just about broke my neck. I had a neck ache the whole vacation, but guess what? I kept doing the roll searches. I think that is fun. It's like the hunt and when you find a keeper you do a little Texas two step. My wife kept yelling at me, "who are you talking to in there?

The 74 and 71 Canadian 10 cent are nickel, the 1968 25 and 10 cent might have silver use a magnet on them if they stick they are nickel if they do not they are 50% Silver. The rest are 80% silver.

    You are so lucky !

I would have been tempted to dump that whole 10 gallon bottle out so that I could start with all the coins that were at the bottom ( thinkin they'd be the oldest)

I did 1 bank box of pennies and came out with 8 wheats and 5 Canadians.
That was roughly 17 pounds or 2500 pennies and when I was done sorting , what was left came up to over 1/3 of the way from the bottom of a plastic gallon jug.

Regarding silver content of certain Canadian coins , I found this web site:

    Happy Hunting !
