Went to my bank 2 weeks ago and picked up 3 rolls of halves (all they had)...got 4 40%ers a 63 franklin and a 43 walking liberty. not a bad haul from 3 rolls that I hesitated to even buy. The 15 bucks in pennies I bought the same day yielded a roll with a few pennies on either end and the middle filled with dimes??? someone had a brain fart I suppose, a few wheats unworthy of mention and an AU1971 that would take your breath away. 2 days ago went back to the same bank and asked for their halves and the teller said all they had were 2 loose ones and she proceeded to toss the two on the counter....a 1969 and a 1967. I gave her the 4 quarters in my pocket and smiled. : )

 

Congrats lincolnhoarder....the shutout streak is broken.

I haven't done any searching for a few days....

 

A 40%er from a handfull of halves

 

Interesting pickup

Went to three banks, no halves, 18 Ikes (common).

BUT,

one of the banks had 10 5$ red seals Never picked those up before.

 

Found a few 2009 pennies and found a 1939S nickel in avg. circulation also found a 1944 Wheat cent

 

1 box of halves yielded: 16 40%ers and a Walker. Got 2 more boxes to go cross my fingers...........:kewl:

 

2nd box was a gooden too! 14 40%ers, 1 90%, 1 BU 87p, 1 BU 82p and 1 2009 panamainian half.

 

Went to the bank today and got 1 box of pennies and 2 boxes of nickels
From the pennies I got the following

My string of great luck seems to have run out.

one box, shutout (4th in a row), and $410 in customer wrapped rolls, shutout.

One bank had one half and it was a 40%er, so I wasn't completely shut out....

 

10 rolls yielded 1x 90%...I'm happy with that!

 

Searched 2 boxes of halves this week and nothing. I did get 14 ikes and 1 40% half from some loose change one teller had.

 

Today, $ 20 in nickels yielded:

Not much, but I did find a 1949 D Cent in change yesterday, one of my better change finds lately.

 

I searched 2 boxes of halves found 1 64 1 67 and 2 68 silver halves and a nice 87 half glad to be finding some goodies again

Going to pick up ~900 in rolled halves today im excited about that

My bank no longer will sell me the bagged coin that comes out of the coin machine and im not too happy about that. And yesterday the teller said that some guy put two buckets of silver quarters into the machine and I cannot get a single one :loud:

 

Where is that bank? Let's get Slippery Pete and a couple other guys and GET THOSE SILVER QUARTERS!!!!! :goofer:

eBay find

I pulled this one out of a roll off eBay yesterday.

It also has a RPM S/S and Doubleing on the eye.

yeah, I know about those coughed up ones, there were like 15 of those in the five rolls I searched and this one just fell out of the roll sky amongst them.

Also found a 1949 S wheat with a real nice double mint mark.
I rechecked it and think it's an S/S/S.

Under a microscope you can see the third S behind the main one in addition to the faint S to the west of the mint mark.
