Bank asked me If I was interested in buying a bag of $1000 in quarters. Is this a good thing? Will if or any Silver show up? I know there isnt much Silver left out there to search. Has anyone here searched through them before?

Did you ask them if the quarters are from the Customer Coin machine? or from the vault?
    or from a delivery ?

The Customer Coin machine will have a higher probability of a good search.

If it's an old bag, all you're gonna get is lots of silver hair.

Sorry . . . no one asked for that  .

My eyes are already fatigued just looking at that bag.
    Good luck.

I see a copper colored Maryland Quarter so I’d check that one more closely.

Looks like light reflection. But I do know what you mean. Still haven't found one of those yet

While I'd be on the lookout for silver, I'd also be searching those quarters for errors! Some of the newer quarters have some wild errors that are demanding quite the premium, but there also many other errors and varieties to search for with quarters. Not as much as pennies have, but still a considerable amount!

It could be the lighting. Or environmental damage or it could be no clad layer. That plastic is in the way but it sure stands out. Besides, I was born in Maryland. :);)

There's a George Crossing the Delaware dead center so it's not too old. May be a gem in there somewhere. You're a better collector than me searching 4000 quarters, though :)

[edit] I see a Maya Angelou, too

My bank offers that type of bag also.
The sorter/counter they use rejects silver dimes, quarters, halves.
The tellers always keep the rejects for themselves.
I found I was better off getting the bags of cents or nickels.
The cent bags usually will yield 15 to 25 wheat cents.
The nickel bags usually will yield 3 to 6 silver war nickels.
But in saying all that, check your bag for errors and varieties. You never know what might show up.
    Good luck!
