So I’ve recently come across this planchet error at first I thought silver but it only weighed 5.7grams and was struck at the Philadelphia mint.

    These coins were plated. When the state quarters came out there were full sets of these sold plated in platinum silver and gold. It is an altered quarter. Maybe worth a small premium but not much. 50C
