    Hi,

According to Numista the 1914 minting of this coin was done in Heaton Birmingham. Normally a small H is visible indicating the Heaton mint for the coins they struck East Africa and Uganda Protectorate, George V 1914 50 Cents.jpg - but for the life of me I can't see it anywhere on this coin (or on the 25 Cent coin of this year either)

Was this an example of the mint just not putting the "H" on the coin for these particular issues?

The H should be on the ground under the lion. It often gets worn down and can be really hard to see.

Thanks - just between the two middle feet? I noticed that small straight edged mark and was wondering about it. The Numista example unfortunately isn't the best.

Yes, between the middle feet. Often it's really hard to tell what they are or even if they're really there.

A later example but it's clear:

Thanks - it's very clear on that example.
